Founded in 2008 by Mark Ritchie (NZ) and Brian Cavanaugh (USA), ABC Architecture integrates international perspectives with the ethos of Pacific Northwest architectural heritage. The accomplishments of ABC and its principals, Brian Cavanaugh and Mark Ritchie, are underscored by numerous design accolades and global publications. Their achievements include the prestigious 2021 AIA Small Project Award and the 2019 Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia Award in Architecture. Notably, ABC was recognized as the AIA Northwest & Pacific Region Emerging Firm of the Year in 2014, and earned a spot among ARCHITECT Magazine's top 50 US design firms in 2013.
